Google has announced, that in an effort to limit the number of staff coming into their offices, they are limiting Google My Business functionality in order to prioritise essential services such as Google Search and Maps. This includes new reviews and review replies during this time.

As everyone in the business community is in the same boat, the short answer is we do not know with 100% certainty how long these changes are going to be in place for.

We are going to be continually monitoring the situation.

When Google reinstate their services, we will revert all client accounts back to the standard review funnel.

Google have not given any clear direction as to whether new reviews will be held in a queue and uploaded in the future. Hopefully, Google will release further details over the coming days.

Each of our clients market to their own unique demographic but generally between 60-70% of reviews are posted via Google. Fortunately, the Reviewr platform is still able to collect this valuable feedback utilising the direct feedback form. Upon completing the form, customers are given the option of posting to one of the review platforms listed in your account.
